This basket was meticulously made using traditional basketry techniques. It features home grown flax of various colours and sustainably sourced raffia, both natural and hand dyed.
Rich, rustic tones are complemented with a palette of green, yellow and pink hues. A piece inspired by the eclectic colour palette of my local wild flax plants. Each of my hand woven artworks is unique, each has its own story.
This artwork measures 3 cm high by 18 cm in diameter. Woven baskets are very durable and vintage pieces in public collections are testament to their longevity. However, colours will fade in the sun so it is best to display woven artworks in a spot sheltered from direct sunlight.
